| Purpose | |

The Smart Start Program provides guidance and technical
assistance to child care providers regarding the health and safety of
children in child care. This guidance is provided mainly by
onsite visits or phone by Credentialed
Child Care Health Consultants. Other activities include staff
training, parents and child education programs, and vision and hearing
screenings for preschool children.
Partnership for Children funds this program. |
