Meetings

Board of Health meetings are held the first Thursday of the month at 7:00pm at the Stanly County Health Department Conference Room in the Stanly County Commons.  The Board usually does not meet in July or December.

Stanly County Board of Health

There are 11 members of the Board.  Members are appointed to serve three year terms.  They are limited to three consecutive three year terms.

The Board shall be composed of one licensed physician, one licensed dentist, one licensed optometrist, one licensed veterinarian, one registered nurse, one licensed pharmacist, one County Commissioner, one professional engineer, and three representatives of the general public.

Members are appointed by the Board of Commissioners.  The local Health Director serves as Secretary to the Board.
